After months of exploring the Great Lakes, from Michigan to the Upper Peninsula, we decided it was time for a break. We parked our Airstream and settled in to savor the beauty and hidden gems of Door County, Wisconsin. It was the perfect opportunity to slow down and truly appreciate this special place.

Door County Delights: A Wisconsin Respite

Our Door County adventure included some fantastic experiences. For a nostalgic date night, we headed to the Skyway Drive-In in Fish Creek. Picture this: a cool fall evening, the crunch of gravel under our tires, and a double feature under the stars. From tuning the radio to grabbing nachos at the snack bar, it was pure retro fun. The Skyway offers a relaxed atmosphere, a big screen with great sound, and a welcome escape from crowded theaters.

We also made sure to catch a Sister Bay sunset, and a sunset cruise on the Edith M. Becker was the perfect way to do it. As the sky blazed with color, the calm waters of Green Bay reflected the stunning hues. The gentle rocking of the boat and the fresh lake breeze created an incredibly relaxing atmosphere. The Edith M. Becker is a beautiful boat, and the crew was fantastic, sharing local insights and ensuring everyone had a great time. A sunset cruise here is a must-do for anyone visiting Door County.

Finally, no Wisconsin trip is complete without a visit to Lambeau Field! Even without a game, the energy here is palpable. We opted for the Legendary Tour, a two-hour deep dive into Packers history. Our guide was a wealth of information, and we got to see everything from the premium seats to the player's tunnel and the end zone club. The view? Incredible! The Atrium and Hall of Fame are also worth exploring for any football fan. Lambeau Field is a must-see for any visitor to the area
