Sleeping Bear Dunes: Micro Adventures & So Much More

During our Fall trip to the Great Lakes, we had a great visit to Holland, Michigan. We stayed a few days at Holland State Park shopped and dined in town, went to the local farmers market, and just enjoyed the beauty of Lake Michigan. But it wasn’t a smooth trip as we had to make a few repairs to the Airstream and the truck along the way.

In the past, I had to make a repair to the Airstream door deadbolt when I accidently damaged it while doing some routine maintenance. My initial repair had worked for the past two years, but Lisa had noticed recently that the deadbolt was becoming difficult to lock. I had an idea what was wrong and was able to make the repair once again. Hopefully for the last time.

In the video link above ⬆️ I show you the easy step-by-step repair to the deadbolt.

Our next stop in Michigan was in Traverse City, where we stay at Holiday RV Campgrounds. This was a beautiful campground and our site was right on the water. The views were stunning and the location was perfect for us to visit the local sights

We decided to upgrade to a waterfront site and it was well worth it.

One of the top sites that we visited was the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. It was a short drive from Traverse City and provided some of the most beautiful views of Lake Michigan.

Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is a must see destination when visiting Michigan.

With only a few days each in location we really try to explore the area as much as we can. Things don’t always work out and we almost always miss things when visiting a new area. But that’s ok. Now we have a reason for a return trip.

Happy Camping & Safe Travels
